Excellent! It had the same vibe as 1984. I kept wondering if the protagonist was about to be escorted into to meet O'Brien and the rats. I was left pondering why the protagnist had no memory of how they got there (or any past memories?). Is there more to come?
I'm glad you liked it. I don't know if there will be more for this one. I do try to write a horror story every Halloween, but oftentimes I find individual stories are more unsettling when they are less connected. That said, all the stories in my head take place in the same universe. So maybe I'll write about a different part of the same picture. We'll see.
I'd definitely love to write down more of the fictional stories in my head, but time continues to be my enemy.
